Our newest single, “Martians” has been released and we’ve made it available for free download at automorrow.bandcamp.com. We want this to be heard, so download it and tell your friends! The download also includes cover art and lyrics. This single will also be available on iTunes, Amazon, and other digital distributors on July 1st for anyone who feels generous or wants the convenience those stores may provide. This song marks the second single towards our full-length album.

We hope you like it as much as we do, and I’d like to encourage you to leave some comments on our YouTube preview of the song here to let us know what you think.

FW Weekly Music Awards 2010
No not that season, awards season. We’ve been nominated for the best live performance category in this year’s Fort Worth Weekly Music Awards. If this sounds familiar, you may recall a similar post last year when we were nominated in the best new artist category. Unfortunately we didn’t come out on top of the nominees last year, but with your help we can make it this time around! Click the image above or click here to view this year’s ballot. Vote in as many or as few categories as you like. Our category is about halfway down the page. Please vote and pass this along to whoever you can. We’ve created a facebook event for the voting, and whoever marks as attending after casting their vote may be in for a surprise after the ballot closes. We can’t say anything more about that just yet. We’re stoked to have the opportunity to appear among our friends and peers in the local music scene for a second year, so thanks Fort Worth!
Thanks for all that you do.
In related news, because of your write-in votes for the Pegasus News’ Best of DFW, we’ve claimed the title for best band. Click here to find out more.
Our new single, “Get Your Own Friends” is now available for sale on all the major digital music distributors (iTunes, Amazon, Napster, Rhapsody, Emusic, LALA, ShockHound, and more)! Listen to it now for free with the music player located at the top of our website.

We wanted to have something to show all our fans from October’s studio sessions, where we streamed our recording process live via Ustream throughout three days. This single represents the first recording released towards our full-length album. We will use this single to continue raising money for the album, and keep up the good work in the spring with another recording session. We hope you enjoy and stay tuned for more!
The story of Ben’s stolen guitars has come to somewhat of a close. Although neither of the guitars were recovered, we’ve made some great friends in the area that took it upon themselves to help out. An awesome show was thrown last month at The Grotto with the goal of helping replace the stolen gear, featuring Nasty ‘Stache, Peru, and Gold Jungle. As it turns out, one of the first pawn shops Ben visited while combing the area for signs of his guitar had the exact same model as his. The show provided the funds needed to return and purchase the guitar seen below.

A few words from Ben: “Thanks to Matt from Meander, Katy from Webbed, and Cody Admire from The Grotto for putting the benefit show together. Thanks to Peru, Nasty ‘Stache, Gold Jungle and Daniel from Meander for playing the show and donating proceeds to the cause! Thanks to all the friends who contributed, even though they couldn’t make it to the show, and thanks to all the fans, and the grotto family for your support. Replacing that guitar really meant a lot to me, and it wouldn’t have happened without the support of all of you.”
2010 is going to be a busy year and we’re not wasting any time! Immediately following our free New Year’s Eve show with Solcide and Slow Guns, we have a three day songwriting session at Studio 216 in Granbury. We plan to close each day of the session with a Ustream broadcast scheduled to start at 8pm on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. We’ll be showing off what we’re working on live each day, as well as debuting a brand new HD music video for Overboard on the second day. On the third and final night, we plan to perform an entire set of songs both old and new, as well as some covers. If you haven’t yet seen us on Ustream, visit our channel here to see a few clips from past broadcasts.
In other news, you may have noticed that our calendar is void of any shows in January. I (Michael) will be having a non-emergency surgery, but will be back and better than ever for the shows we have lined up in February and onward.
Thanks for a great 2009. Here’s to the new year!
We’re almost done with our new single, titled “Get Your Own Friends”! In the meantime, I thought I’d give our subscribers and twitter followers a sneak peek with three free ringtones taken from the song. The single will be released sometime in late January or early February.
Get the ringtones on our download page, or use your mobile phone to text AutomorrowGYO1, AutomorrowGYO2, or AutomorrowGYO3 to 69937.
We’re a few days late for Thanksgiving, but to everyone who has been supportive of us over this past year, and also to those who helped spread the word about the theft mentioned in our last entry… Thank you!

Last night at The Grotto in Fort Worth, two guitars belonging to Ben were stolen from his car; A creme-colored Washburn electric guitar with a single-cutaway body and a black pickguard (pictured above) in a black rectangular case, and an Epiphone acoustic guitar with a Seymour-Duncan acoustic pickup mounted to the body in a black hard case. These were taken the night after Ben’s birthday, and we just want them back. Please pass this along. If returned, no questions will be asked.
We’re going to the studio, and you’re invited!
Next month we’ll be returning to the studio for what will be the first of many sessions over the next year as we work on our first full-length release. We plan to come out of this particular session with a single to show off by the anniversary of our Diver EP release in January. We’ve decided to let anyone interested get a glimpse of the recording process live on Ustream. We will broadcast a view of the control room via webcam, with the ability to listen in on our progress. Ustream also offers the ability for users to chat with us throughout the three day session.
Be warned! We will be keeping ourselves busy and the process is sometimes tedious. Even so, we hope you’ll appreciate the candid nature of it, and that you’ll stop in while you trod through your internet routine. Tentatively, our schedule will be 3pm-11pm on October 11th, 12th, and 13th. I’ll be sure to keep everyone updated over the next few weeks with the details. See you there!
If you’re reading this from your email inbox, then you’re in luck. We’ve decided to arrange a drawing from our list of subscribers on the 1st of each month for a free poster (shown previously). We’ll pick one email address at random and contact the winner to arrange shipping the design of their choice. If you want a chance to win and haven’t signed up yet, just enter your email list in the sidebar to the right of this post and you’re done. Its all in the name of letting our fans know what we’re up to first (and that whole internet domination thing)! Speaking of…
If you’ve been following our previous posts for the FW Weekly music awards, the winners have been announced and the award for “Best New Artist” has gone to The Dangits. You can check them out on MySpace by clicking here. We’d like to congratulate all the winners this year, and give a huge thanks to all of you who voted for us. We are grateful to have been considered for this category by the nominating committee along with only four other bands, and hope to keep on making waves.
Speaking of waves, we’re working on some new video content which should be coming pretty soon, so be on the lookout. I’ll be sure to post when its available, or you can subscribe to our YouTube channel here.
Also, our calendar has a few new shows, and more are on the way as we confirm details for some outlying towns we plan to stop by in September.
P.S. – If you’re wondering where the music player on our site went, I’ve decided to place it above the banner on top of all our pages, so you can listen to our tunes from any section of the site. Don’t worry, it won’t start blasting as soon as you visit. We do have some manners.
We’re preparing for a very full weekend! Friday we will be performing at the Blue Dome Diner in Tulsa for OK Greenfest, sticking around Saturday to busk downtown and meet people on the second day of the event. After returning that night, we’ll recharge before heading out to play the FW Weekly Music Awards Festival on Sunday (It’s not too late to vote!). Come out and welcome us back for FREE at Paddy Red’s Irish Pub as part of the event which spans several venues in downtown Fort Worth and tons of great bands. Prior to our set make sure to support Sally Majestic, Addnerim, and more all under the same roof! Check our calendar for the full list of bands and more details.
In other band news, we’ve been busy lately working on a few new songs. We’re a pretty meticulous bunch, but we’ve been making good progress and hope to test some out on you sometime soon. See you Sunday!
